It's an old saying that I love- If He will bring you to it, He will certainly bring you through it! So comforting.
Let's see what 2012 has (so far) been about....
Started the New year off with friends and family then ventured down to cooper young area with Scott's friends. lots of fun to say the least.
My first visit to Charleston, SC to meet the rest of Scott's side of the family and be a part of his nephew and God Son, Fosters, christening. So encouraging and comforting.
We celebrated my step dad, Mike's, birthday at Alchemy. Such a fun atmosphere!
January 29th marked the one year date of the day we lost my beloved grandfather, Papa Jim. There are no words to express to you all how much I miss him, but I try to remember to not let my selfishness take over when wanting him back. Because we all know he is in a much better place celebrating with my dad and grandmother. What a reunion they have been having for the past year- I just need to quit being selfish and remember the joy of his life and continuing to celebrate his life. What an inspiration that man is to me- he was so full of laughter, love, joy, and happiness. Something he and my dad certainly had in common and something I strive to be every day.
The girlfriends and myself celebrated Galentines day the day before Valetines day. It was such a reminder that it is always important to celebrate friendships and the celebrate the people in your life by spending time away from distractions and other things with friends. Friendships are so important and I value my friendships and thank God for them every day!
Valentines day oh Valentines day.
How did I get to be sooooo lucky???? I think it is safe to say I have the best boyfriend in the world and he spoils me beyond belief! We celebrated our valentines day a day late due to his work schedule and my night class. I couldn't have asked for a better guy to be in my life- he is everything every girl wants and wishes for and has treated me with such love and respect this past year. He surprised me with a bottle of wine, a GORGEOUS bouquet of flowers and my favorite movie of all time COUNTRY STRONG! (he knows me too well)! We had a very romantic dinner at Pete and Sam's and I had the best steak that I've had in a long time! Then we went back to the house, drank a glass of wine... or two... and he took me to see the Vow, which I'd been dying to see! The night was great and I couldn't have been happier! Thank you Scott for loving me unconditionally every day! I love you!
oh check out this bouquet of flowers I made Scott :)
In His name,
Catherine
