Oh Amsterdam oh Amsterdam! .... And on the weekend! Unfortunately I have been sick the past few days but I was still a trooper and went out! I couldn't miss out on Amsterdam!!

The first day we got there it was cold and rainy but we survived. We took the train to the middle of town and our tour guide showed us around, told us where to go, etc. then we ventured off on our own..... Amsterdam is a crazy city, everything and I mean basically everything (well yes, everything) is legal there. I won't get into details, but I'm sure everyone caught on.
There is a restaurant we went to (every night) that is soooooo good! (maybe that explains why we ate it every night?) anyway... It was called won-to-walk and was Thai food and super delicious.

The next day we went to the Anne frank house and got to walk. Through her house and see the hiding places she and her family were hiding in during world war 2. I've always wanted to see the Anne frank house so that was pretty neat to do. We also got to see Anne's original diary that she wrote in throughout the war. Unfortunately she and her family were betrayed, taken by hitler and the nazis to concentration camps where Otto frank(Anne's father) was the only one who survived and from there he published Anne's diary. Unfortunately we were not allowed to bring cameras and take pictures throughout the house and their hiding places, otherwise, I would have posted.

We also went on a bike tour through the Dutch countryside in holland. That was beautiful! We didn't even have to wear helmets! But we did have to wear some tacky neon vests for some reason. We made anew stops along our bike tour and one of those stops was a cheese factory and a wooden clog factory. We watched demonstrations where they showed us how they made the cheese, aged it, and sent it out for wholesale. Then we got to do a cheese tasting and I fell in love. I had to buy some cheese so I bought the pesto cheese and the hot and spicy cheese. Super delicious.
They also showed us how they made the classic holland wooden clog shoes. That was interesting as well.

That night we just went to the red light district and hung around amsterdam. Today we have been traveling to Brussels. Tomorrow we leave for Paris. !!! Au Revoir
