A day in Athens

Today was a really fun day. We did a lot of cool things... Like saw one of the 7 wonders of the world... Mark that one off my list :) we did a walking tour of the temple of Athena and saw where the first ever olympic games were held (really cool 776 AD)and the seven pillars and the Parthenon. It was really crazy to actually be able to be there and witness it all. Pretty awesome actually !
it was a lot to take in but also really cool that we were actually standing there and walked all the way to the top where they built it thousands of years ago and it's all still standing. Marble and all. Pretty amazing. Oh and with no electricity or machines! Pretty smart men!
After we did walking tours of all the historical stuff in Athens, we walked around town and went to local shops and a few of us girls split up and went to lunch. When we went to lunch we all had been told that it was not custom to tip after eating. One of the girls just went ahead and left one euro and the waiter was like oh no no no please you keep money. She said no its for you. So he said ok drinks all around for all you girls and brought us all back shots! Ha free shots in Greece from a euro tip, I'll take it!
Today was a lot of fun and I saw so much. I still can't believe I'm actually here. While we were up at the top of the acropolis I was just taking it all in an absorbing everything I was seeing. I still can't really believe thatim in Greece! Pret awesome!!! Tonight we are just going to dinner as a big group and then we are hanging out on the roof top drinking and what not. There is a bar and music and pool and the sight up there is absolutely astonishing!! The whole city it lit up and gosh pictures just don't even do it justice!!!
Tomorrow we are traveling to the city of Delphi in Greece then the GREEK ISLES!!!! I'm so excited for that!!! We are going to the island of Corfu :) ok I still can't believe I'm here, it's so much to take in!!!!!!!
Ahhhhhhhh
