Trevi fountain and roman colosseum

The Trevi fountain the Trevi fountain..... Okay so apparently thousands and thousands of years ago before the capital of Italy was every established and men were traveling to and from trying to discover the land... There was no water and they were deprived of water and dehydrated. Out of no where a woman appeared and told them there was water under the ground they were standing on and if they dug deep enough they would have access to the water. The men started digging. What they found was remarkable. So much water!! They looked up to thank the woman for telling them where to dig and she just all of a sudden disappeared and they could not find her anywhere. The woman was the virgin Mary. The city was established and a huge fountain was built for all of Rome and there was a wonderful supply of water. They called the fountain the fountain of Trevi and there are statues of the virgin Mary and Jesus engraved into the fountain. There is an unlimited supply of water and it is still running thousands and thousands of years later. Natural water. The water is considered to be holy water and very sacred water.

Legend has it that if you throw a coin in the Trevi fountain over your right shoulder you will find love and if you throw it over your left shoulder your love will return with you to Rome one day :) yes, I threw the coin over my left shoulder:) :) :)

The roman colosseum was the next big thing we saw! Pretty awesome if ya ask me!!

The roman colosseum was interesting to me but pretty sad too. The emperor would make the slaves fight until their death for pure entertainment. It reminded me a lot of the hunger games personally. Either way it was interesting to see. Another wonder of the ancient world.... Check that one off my list :)
